Principal Climate Technologies is thrilled to have donated a new Daikin air conditioning system to the recently opened Horti Hub at The Bee Hive in Northampton.
The Bee Hive, a unique vocational sixth form facility which provides a range of valuable learning services to students with learning difficulties. The new Horti Hub is an area where the students can grow flowers and vegetables and then sell them.
The new Daikin system was very kindly installed, free-of-charge, by Bedfordshire based, Loop Air Conditioning.
The facility is split into two zones; one for training and studying and the other being front of house which includes a café and second hand shop. Originally the Bee Hive team were looking for separate door heaters, however, Loop Air Conditioning advised them that air conditioning would give them a more efficient way to heat, and give them cooling in the summer.
Principal Climate Technologies were more than happy to donate a new Daikin R32 multi split system which comprises small and compact units that are ideal for the small facility. The new system uses environmentally friendly refrigerant and allows them to select heating or cooling as required.

The Bee Hive is a vocational Sixth Form provision for young people with learning difficulties. Part of Northgate School Arts College Academy, The Bee Hive is unique in that they also have a café, conference hall, commercial kitchen, second hand shop and a well-being centre. This innovative and inspirational business centre provides students with first hand real life experiential learning in specific industry focused learning environments. The staff at The Bee Hive are a dedicated and passionate team who strive only for the best outcomes for their young people.
