A change in EU legislation regarding cybersecurity, personal data protection, and privacy for radio equipment came into force on 1st August 2025.
This means that the firmware and software on the Madoka range of remote controllers needed to be updated. This is because the Madoka wired remote controller uses wireless (Bluetooth) communication to control and monitor indoor units, and performs software updates via the Madoka Assistant app.
This change applies only to new products placed on the market. It does not affect any Madoka controllers that have already been sold, supplied, or installed.
The new model numbers that apply to all products sold from 1st August 2025 are shown below.
All new deliveries will automatically include the updated models and existing quotations or orders will be adjusted to show the new model numbers.
