New packaging guidance for FCAG-B Roundflow Cassettes

Some useful new guidance on the packaging, transportation and storage of FCAG-B roundflow cassettes has been issued by Daikin.

The packaging of these units is printed with directional arrows and “This Side Up” instructions that indicate they should be stored flat with the top of the unit facing upwards. However, please note the following:

FCAG-B Compact Roundflow Cassette units can be safely stored and transported on their side, without compromising product integrity, functionality, or warranty.

This has been validated through internal quality assessments and is permissible under Daikin’s handling guidelines.

The packaging markings are primarily intended to guide standard logistics processes, but side storage is fully acceptable under the following conditions:
 

• The unit must be kept in its original packaging to protect against dust, moisture, and mechanical impact
• The unit should be stored in a stable and secure position, avoiding excessive vibration, tilt, or pressure
• Stacking of multiple units on top of each other on their side is not permitted
• When ready for installation, the unit should be returned to the upright position before unpacking.

This clarification is intended to reduce unnecessary concern during transportation or on-site storage, particularly in constrained or space-limited environments.
