Use Intelligent Touch Manager for R32 Supervisor Alarm

Daikin has announced the possibility of employing the DCM601B51 Intelligent Touch Manager (iTM) as the Supervisor alarm for compliance with IEC 60335-2-40.

Daikin’s new Briefing Document states that although the physical hardware and software of the DCM601B51 Intelligent Touch Manager have not changed, approval has been received that the integral alarm within the iTM meets the requirements of IEC 60335-2-40 for use as a Supervisor alarm.

This means the iTM can be used in place of, or alongside a BRC1H52 Madoka remote controller, as an R32 Supervision alarm.

If required, it is still possible to employ the UK.ITM/R32/LEAKDE R32 leak detection alarm output panel, in conjunction with the UK.IAMC leak detection alarm buzzer and lamp panel, for mounting in a supervisor location other than the location of the iTM.
